1. Our commitment

We believe great digital products are accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, device, or context. Accessibility is baked into our design and development process — it is not an afterthought.

2. Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: A, AA, and AAA.

truterax.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working towards full conformance.

3. Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA landmarks throughout
  • Keyboard navigation for all interactive elements with visible focus indicators
  • Sufficient colour contrast (WCAG AA minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion — all decorative animations can be disabled
  • Responsive design that works at 320px and scales to 200% zoom
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images and aria-hidden on decorative ones
  • Forms with associated labels and inline error messages
  • Logical heading hierarchy (h1 → h2 → h3)

4. Technical specifications

Accessibility on this site relies on the following technologies:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript (ES2015+)
  • WAI-ARIA
  • SVG for icons and graphics

These are intended to work with the latest two versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack).

5. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, you may experience some limitations:

  • The custom cursor effect is disabled on touch devices and when reduced-motion is set, but may still feel unusual to some users — we keep it visually layered so it does not block content
  • The particle canvas in the hero is decorative and is paused when off-screen or when reduced-motion is requested
  • Some external content (embedded maps, social embeds) may not meet our standard
